The Vision and Version of Indian Life in Satnamigauravam Epic

Abstract

The Epic, "????????????" also known as "?????????????????????" is a wonderful piece creation of Pandit Mithilaprasad Tripathi. The hero of this epic is Ghasidas. He experienced that the base or the criterion of the best character or personality is not taking birth in a reverent or topmost clan or not even the reverent or topmost caste. Based on this principle, for the betterment of the Dalits, who are always committed to doing Sewa, a different school of philosophy called Satnam was established. This Epic is based on the life of guru Ghasidas. The content of this epic is divided into 21 cantos. In this there are total 624 poems. Every canto has around 30 poems. Thus is the piece of art by Pandit Mithilaprasad Tripathi who through the life of the hero of his poem and through, has expressed the life of Bharat Varsh at that time. Here the humble attempt is made through this research paper to bring in light the version and vision of India which was quite rich in terms of values and moral as compared to today.
