Interaction of Radiation with Matter in the Light of Semi-Classical Mechanics
Abstract
The problem of interaction of radiation with matter can be solved by using the different mathematical approaches of the semi-classical mechanics among them are density matrix method of Lamb and Fleck have been used rather than the other methods for obtaining the T-operator, density operator, the probability co-efficient and the solutions of the problem in fully quantized states. The semi-classical approach is in general, quite adequate for solving the various problems in fully quantized states of classical fields. Fleck has used only multiple single photon absorption and emission process to derive an equation governing the expected photon number.
