A Study on Green Products and Customer Satisfaction towards Green Products with Reference to Environmental Protection

Abstract

In this modern era environmental safety, sustainability, depletion of natural resources, pollution etc. have become big environmental problems. To overcome with these problems a new concept of producing green product has been emerged as the industrial sector and other businesses is the major contributor in increasing pollution, depleting natural resources, producing wastes and environmental destruction. The green products are increasing sustainability worldwide day by day. This study is based on the knowledge about green products and their benefits over non-green products among consumers. The study identifies the satisfaction of customers about the benefits of green product usage over non-green products along with their consciousness towards environmental protection. To find out the satisfaction level of customers with regard to benefits of green products over non-green products a survey was done on 200 customerson big stores differentiated with occupational criteria of working and non-working with a structured questionnaire in relevant manner. The result of the survey says that green products are good in comparison to non-green products and beneficial to healthand environment.
