Income as One of the Crucial Components of Human Security: A Study of Continents to Measure Income Inequality
Abstract
The paper is an attempt to measure the Income inequality between the countries of different continents and to highlight the importance of Income equality in the process of Human Security. It is evident from the paper that out of five continents viz; Africa, Asia, America, Oceania/Australia and Europe; Oceania turned out to be the continent with very high incidences of income inequality. Author suggested that a comprehensive approach like Human Security is required in order to alleviate the incidences of Income Inequality and it was also suggested that it is immensely important for countries to incorporate this framework in their policy making process to ensure better results.
