Discernments of Human Association in Jane Austen's 'Emma'

Abstract

 This study is anticipated to show fundamentals of nature used in the novel Emma written by Jane Austen. As far as the novel is a romantic work, reputation of nature in Romanticism both outward nature and internal one and how the romantic writer has used these elements in his work, will be reflected. For this nearby is a biography of the author and the age which the novel has been written and prominence of nature in that era. To comprehend better how the mind of the author is influenced by the nature as its clues could be seen in the work of art. So the main purpose of this paper is extracting features of nature in Emma a novel in Romanticism era, as the nature is an important subject in romanticism. We will get some evidences which show how the nature is described as a healing power, a place for peace and simplicity of life without stresses of life in cities and has a big encouragement on the mood of man and centre nature of him.
