This paper comes out with the problems of a married women, which is still applied in the upcoming society. In this paper the researcher underwent the obstacles of the women due to the malechavanism. In Shashi?s novel the characterSaritha has deputed as a protagonist, who was a popular figure in the society and at home she seems to be a trapped animal by her husband. Mano is a man full of inferiority, his inferior complex was affected the life of his wife. This paper holds the darker side of Saritha.
