Achievement of Higher Secondary Students’ In Physics in Relation to Scientific Temper

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of finding out the level of Achievement in Physics and Scientific Temper of Higher Secondary Students in Puducherry Region. It is an attempt to see the relationship between Achievement and Scientific Temper. For this study the investigator has included the Gender, Locality, Type of School and Type of Family as biographical variables for analysis. From the systematic analysis the investigator has arrived in results that the level of Achievement in Physics is average and Scientific Temper of the entire sample is average. Further there is significant difference is found among the Gender, Locality and Type of School with respect to their Achievement in physics expect Type of Family and there is no significant difference is found among the Gender, Locality and Type of School with respect to their Scientific Temper of Higher Secondary Students except the Type of Family. As per the Achievement in Physics is concerned, the sample of Gender, Locality and Type of School is significantly different. A positive relationship is also found between Achievement in Physics and Scientific Temper of Higher Secondary Students. Based on the results obtained through this study the suitable recommendations were also made by the investigator to improve the Achievement in Physics and Scientific Temper of Higher Secondary Students.
