Satisfaction Level of customer towards Retail Outlet in Kanyakumari District – A Study

Abstract

Retail Industry is one of the pillars of Indian Economy. It is an emerging sector in India. The Retail Outlet is presently more dynamic and the environment is rapidly changing according to the change and preference of the customers due to the technological advancement. Indian customers are becoming literate, knowledgeable and expect the higher quality of products. Customers are the King. Marketing without the customers are nothing. The Retail outlets are soon emerging on the top priority lists, amongst the shopping spree in various cities, as they to derive immense pleasure of connivance and exposure to variety under one roof, in their extremely busy lives, when they do not have time for things .Some of the customers perceive retail stores to be expensive and only high income category cup of tea, the stores make constant efforts to induce them to at least visit the store once during the sale period or discount offers. Most of these stores believe in creating not just a marketing activity but also convert in to client.

The purpose of the study is to identify the satisfaction level of the customer towards Retail Outlets in Kanyakumari District. The object of the study is to get the feedback about the customer preference, satisfaction level and attitude of the retail outlets. Though the population are infinite, convenience sampling techniques are taken. A structured interview schedule was used to collect the primary data from 100 customer of Kanyakumari district.
