Optimal Production Schedule with Arbitrary Lags and Job Block Criteria Consisting Graphical User Interface Using Matlab

Abstract

This paper is an attempt to study n jobs over two machines where processing times are associated with respective probabilities in addition with arbitrary lags i.e. start lag or stop lag. The objective of the study is to develop an efficient algorithm in order to minimize the total elapsed time with different system parameters like transportation time, arbitrary lags and job block criteria as well. A numerical illustration as well as Fuzzy logic engine is designed to clarify the proposed concept.
