Abstract

Celestial Bodies is a 2019 Man Booker Prize winning novel by the Omanian Writer Jokha Alharthi. She is the first one in Oman who won the Man Booker prize. She published this novel first in the name Sayyidat-a-Qamar and Marilyn Booth is the one who translated this novel in to English. This novel reveals the lives of three sisters who witness Oman slowly redefining itself from a traditional slave-owning society to its complex present state.
