But translation is a more byzantine process for it is furthermore than reinstating an original text with a target language substitute. Apart from the rehashing of a literary artefact from one language to a wholly incongruous language, the process of translation is engrossed in complex power negotiations, mediating between two distinctly different cultures and accordingly the process of translation turns out to be the rewriting of the original literary work. More than a process of linguistic transference, translation is the study of cultural interaction. Ergo, in the exceedingly complex process of translation, the translator is caught in the cobwebs of two entirely different linguistic and cultural systems.
