As society changes with time, so is its educational system. These changes are sometimes triggered by factors such as the socio-politico-economic situation within which the society finds itself at a period of its development. The changes moreover also affect either a unit or the whole system of the education, including education of the disabled. Therefore, establishing special schools such as Schools for the Deaf and further training of these Deaf Students in Vocational and Technical skills, at the post-basic level was to utilize the potentials and aptitudes of the deaf towards their individual and national development. The present study was designed to find out the vocational needs of hearing-impaired students. A total of 100 hearing impaired students from different management of special schools were selected from Bangalore city. The results revealed that hearing-impaired students had expected many vocational training programs to be organized in their institutions for their survival like any other normal student which may include training in repairing and maintenance of their own tools, career guidance, communication skills and other recreation skills which will support them to be one successful individual in the society.
