Green economy and social responsibility: A study on Indian economy

Abstract

The green economy is meaning fully explained as a system that aims at reducing ecological risks and organic scarcities that aims atbalanced economic development, without degrading the ecosystem. It also refers to a subject of economic concern which focuses on formulating an approach that promotes synchronisedeconomic interactions between men and environment.Social responsibility is an helps an organisation to be ethically responsible and suggests the ways of improving its performance by that an entity, be it an organization or individual, has an obligation to act for the benefit of society at large. Social responsibility is a duty of every individual to perform and maintain a balance between the economy and the ecosystems. It affects not only to business organizations but also to everyone whos any action impacts the environment. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a self-regulating business model that helps a company be socially liable to themselves, its stakeholders, and the general public. By performing corporate CSR, also called corporate citizenship, companies can be conscious of the kind of impact they are having on all aspects of society including economic, social, and environmental. Thereby this study mainly relates to role of social responsibility of Indian companies for the purpose of making a green ecosystem.
