“Green Economy and Sustainable Development” -An easy balance through Traditional Pottery Industry in Kerala

Abstract

Sustainable development is conceived as a great concern for the health of world economy. This paper examines the relationship and influence between the double crisis such as sustainable development and rise of greening as the part of the solution. This study explores what defines and distinguishes green economy for sustainable development, relevance of traditional industries for green economy and sustainable development and implications of using green economy agenda for sustainable developments.
In this paper the researcher goes through the patterns of green economy and sustainable development that will help to explain the meaning and implication of greening for sustainable development, tries to reveal the significance of traditional pottery industry for green economisation, defines the seeds for a new perspective on sustainable development which would create a space for new paradigm-balanced green economy and sustainable development through traditional industry development.
