HERBAL BASED DIESEL ENGINE ALTERNATIVE FUEL

Abstract

Vegetable oil production is done in nature from a variety of oilseed crops. Nearly all vegetable oils have high energy content, but most of them required special refining to make them suitable for use in the diesel engine. Any of the usable oils have already been tested in the diesel engine for fuel replacement. The effectiveness of vegetable oil fuel and methyl ester obtained from vegetable oil was investigated in this article. For the study of the impact of oil on the diesel engine, four-stroke and direct-injected engines are considered. Diesel engine output and exhaust pollution have been studied to determine the influence of the vegetable-based oil on the diesel engine. The methyl ester of the vegetable oil can be as raw sunflower oil, raw soybean oil, corn oil purified opium poppy oil and refined rapeseed oil. The experiment-based findings suggest that vegetable oil and ester can be used as an alternative fuel for the diesel engine. The key argument behind this is their high viscosity, drying in cold temperatures over time and thickening. Vegetable oil has some issues, considering these favorable characteristics, as well as flow, atomization and heavy particulate emissions.
