Abstract

UAE started implementing emiratization policy over a decade, during this time the effectiveness of the policy and challenges of implementation have been evaluated and discussed at various platforms by the stakeholders. Few empirical studies have been carried out with respect to policy and its implementation but no study is available to understand and evaluate the factors that challenge the human resource managers and the nationals employed in the private sector under emiratization recruitment process. This study aims to identify key factors that affect the Nationals employed in the UAEs private sector under emiratization so that the findings of this study may help organizations to cope up with inevitable Emiratization process. It will also help to develop appropriate strategies for preparing nationals to work in private sector, help private sector to maintain UAE nationals and improve overall employee performance. It can further create a healthy organizational culture and provide guidance to agencies that are preparing locals towards accepting private sector employment opportunities. The research identified eight important factors that help the preparedness of emartis and will help them to be get easily inducted into private sector working culture and helps in promoting Emiratization in due course of time.
