Abstract

TCP and UDP both have different characteristics in a network scenario. TCP is reliable and connection oriented while UDP is unreliable and connection less protocol. Both protocols are used for data transmission, depends on the application scenario. In this paper, AODV routing protocol have been evaluated with TCP and UDP traffics. End-to end delay, average delay, total delay, average throughputand pause times are considered as the main evaluation parameters in wireless network environment. NS-2.35has been used for creating simulation scenario for 35 nodes.
