Abstract

India has emerged as the fastest growing economy in the world as per the Central Statistical Organization (CSO) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) and it's expected to be one of the three Economic powers of the world over the next 10-15 years. In 2019-20, the growth rate of India was 5%. But, this growth rate is not enough to reduce the disparity  between poor and rich people, also not enough to improve to rural lifestyle while  provide urban amenities in rural areas and developing the infrastructure for better connection between rural and  urban. Nearly 70% people lives in rural areas and if we want to see the India as economically powered country, firstly transforming the rural economy and empowering the rural community. Secondly, income diversification; there is low land- population ratio and day by day it's decreasing rapidly. Rural Economic diversification, both within farm and non-farm activities, has significant potential to reduce poverty, increase coping mechanisms in face of failure or price volatility, and improve food and livelihood security of rural households. Rural urban linkages play a crucial role for the transforming India. These linkages create the new opportunities in rural areas as generating income, employment and prosperity.
