“Size of Dependent Members In A Family As A Factor Responsible For Women Entrepreneurship”

Abstract

Purpose: In this study identifying influencing factors to explores the potential of women's entrepreneurship. It was noted that during the transition era there is a noticeable trend in terms of the contribution of women to economic growth and women's participation in entrepreneurial activities. India is considered the second largest start-up ecosystem in the world, is expected to grow by about 10-12 percent (Hans, 2018). Studies show that many women entrepreneurs works in difficult situations, taking into account many factors, such as social and personal factors, etc. This study analyzes which main factor motivates or stops working women to entrepreneurship.

Design/method/approach: the research design is combination of secondary data and primary data based on in depth interviews, survey and online research of relying published studies, reports, articles, academic literature and journals.

Findings: Absolute dependence seems to be weakening among women of the high and middle  class,  as  they are  increasingly aware  of  their  personal  needs  and  demand  more equality.  People  with  different  qualifications  have  different  factors  that  affect  working women in the direction of entrepreneurship; working women face many problems at the initial stage, as well as at the exploitation stage, such as lack of funding, limited freedom of movement and the need to fulfil a dual role at home and at work. Technological advances and the explosion of information technology have reduced the problem of women entrepreneurs. Along with the technological revolution, the mental revolution of society is needed to change the attitude of society and provide women with a democratic and entrepreneurial platform.
