A Psychoanalytic Feminist Study of Anita Desai’s Cry, the Peacock

Abstract

The present paper deals with the psychological characteristic of Maya and with the solid appeal for the rights for women. In the beginning of this research paper, the status which was given by significant western scholars is also taken into account. The main emphasis in this paper is on Anita Desais famous work Cry, the Peacock, in which detailed analysis has been made of the Psychoanalytic feminist perspective.
