Abstract

Jack ma rags-to-riches story subsumes too many setbacks.He born in
Hangzhou, located in the south-eastern part of China. The Financial
position of his family is not that sound, he grew up with his elder brother
and younger sister and his parents was Musicians-storytellers, a kind of
very middleclass job in those days. From the start, jack ma eager to learn
English, he didn?t have that much money to learn it from a instructor so he
better finds the another way, he started giving tours to the foreign visitors in
English and from there he build up his communication skills and English
fluency. While giving a tour he one day met a foreign girl who gave him the
name Jack as his Chinese name are hard to spell for her. After graduating
from a bachelor degree in English, he got a job at a HangzhauDianzi
University where he got paid $12 dollar a months. Jack always call himself a
Chief Education Officer (CEO), but finding a job as a teacher didn?t come
easy to him, he faced a lot of rejections after graduating from a college. He
failed thrice in his middle school exams, after school he applied for
universities and rejected three times, he applied for Harvard University, ten
times rejected. When KFC came to China, 24 people went for the job, 23
were accepted, jack was the only one rejected. He also applied for police
along with 4 other people, the other four were accepted except him.
