Abstract

ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) is a process design for treating the industrial wastewater for its reuse or safe disposal to the environment. This project depicts the necessitate for wastewater treatment and execute the design and automation of waste water treatment plant. To keep the wastewater treatment plant running certain parameters (pH,COD,BOD,TSS) must be monitored regularly. Hence different sensors at different stages of treatment plant can be used. So, the pH of the water should be measured periodically and depending upon the nature of the water i.e. if water is acidic and then the base(NaOH) is added to the water to reach the permissible limits. As of now, in North Chennai Thermal Power Station (NCTPS) is entirely non-automatic out setting from acid or base interlace till measuring the pH value of the water. The pH indicator will read the pH value of water and transmit the data to SCADA. SCADA receive the data and analyses through it and give command to the actuator. This forecast has SCADA software simulation which monitors the value of pH in the water that discharges into the sea.
