RURAL INFRASTRUCTURAL FACILITIES IN SANT KABIR NAGAR DISTRICT (U.P.): A GEOGRAPHICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract

The availability of balance infrastructural facilities is very
necessity for the sustainable development of a region. The present paper is
aimed to analyse the distribution of rural infrastructure in Sant Kabir Nagar
District of Uttar Pradesh which is mostly dominated by rural population
(92.50 per cent of the total population). For this, block-wise secondary
sources of data has been used in order to clearly depict and scrutinize the
nature and distribution of infrastructure in the district. The block-wise
study shows that there is lack of infrastructural facilities in the district.
Different parameters of development of infrastructure like health, transport
and communication, education, drinking water facilities have been used to
analyse the economic development of the district.
