RESOURCE ALLOCATION STRATEGIES IN THE CLOUD COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT: A REVIEW

Abstract

Cloud computing is a technique that enables convenient, ondemand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing
resources. The resources and application are accessible from anywhere as
utilities through the internet. Cloud provides platform, infrastructure and
applications for users to meet their requirements.
Cloud deployment services are available through different models like
private, public, community and hybrid. Cloud provides resources as services
to the end user. Therefore, some technique of resource allocation is
required. Through an adequate allocation of resources the strategy cloud
can provide maximum services in minimum resources. This article featured
a review on the importance of different resource allocation algorithms in
cloud computing. This article also shows some assigned resources strategies
with algorithms proposed by researchers for the allocation of resources in
cloud.
