PRESSURE SUPPOSED BY RELATIVES WITH PSYCHOLOGICALLY RETARDED CHILDREN JOINED IN SPECIAL SCHOOLS AT INDORE

Abstract

Nearness of an intellectually hindered kid in the family may
welcome numerous weights on the relatives. This pressure can influence the
everyday life of relatives just as negatively affect their psychosocial
wellbeing. Depicting the pressure can help in recognizing zones that should
be tended to, for arranging of care for the influenced youngsters just as their
relatives who are the essential consideration givers. This study was
attempted to portray the pressure apparent by families with nearness of an
intellectually hindered kid. An aggregate of 100 families with 102
intellectually hindered youngsters joined up with unique schools in Indore
city were addressed on a pretested self-regulated survey. Different zones in
which stress was considered were; every day care pressure, passionate
pressure, social pressure and money related stress.81% families revealed
day by day care pressure, 65% announced enthusiastic pressure, 51.5%
detailed social pressure, and 64% families revealed monetary pressure.
Serious or high pressure is accounted for by the families in sub territories of
additional contributions for care and diminished relaxation time. Moderate
level of pressure is felt by most extreme families in sub territories of
individual misery and disregard of other relatives. In different sub zones
countless families do report no pressure. Such sub territories are conjugal
issues (44%), other relational issues (45%), changed public activity (48%)
and social humiliation (49%).
