Abstract

Water pollution is a national and global issue. Humans and all living species in the world are facing worst results of polluted water. Water is one of the most important natural resource for sustaining life on earth. Water distinguishes our planet compared to all the others we know about. Water is essential for sustaining human life. In fact, since 60% of the human body is composed of water, it can be said that water is life itself.Water quality issues are a major challenge that humanity is facing in the twenty-first century. Here, we review the main groups of aquatic contaminants, their effects on human health, and approaches to mitigate pollution of freshwater resourcesWater pollution occurs when unwanted materials enter into water (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers) and contaminate the quality of water. Water, a natural resource which has been used for different purposes, namely for drinking, domestic, irrigation and industrial, mainly depends on its intrinsic quality. The present study is based on both primary and secondary data. The present study investigates the study the causes and effects of water pollution in the study area. And also to study the effect of water pollution on human health and its management. Some aspects of waterborne diseases and the urgent need for improved sanitation in the study areaare also discussed. We face multiple challenges in doing that, especially given a changing and uncertain future climate, and a rapidly growing population that is driving increased social and economic development, globalization, and urbanization
