A Study of Problems Arising During the Use of Teaching Skills in Practice Teaching of the Prospective Teachers in College of Education

Abstract

 Teacher education is an important program. In teacher education, practice-teaching has special importance under practical activities and knowledge of teaching skills gives quality to the spread of education. Knowledge and development of teaching skills and application in real-world situations demonstrate the specific abilities of the teacher. In this research paper, an attempt has been made to throw light on the problems and facts related to getting skillful education in the students and teachers. The nature of this research study was survey. In this, 120 prospective teachers studying in College of education affilated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati were selected as a sample from objective sampling method. Self-made practice teaching newsletters were used by the researcher as a tool. In which there were questions related to the use of 6 teaching skills and difficulties arising at the time of their use. In this research study, it was found that most of the problems faced by prospective teachers, as well as from the learning environment. Lack of coordination was found to be the main reason for these problems. Another reason for this is that the institutes do not have their own schools, where systematic and full-time training can be done.
