Trade Between India And China

Abstract

From year 2001 onwards India did more import than export. The gap between import and export has increased over the period. However the total trade volume between India and China has jumped from about USD 2.71 billion in 2001 to ~70 billion in 2016. Therefore it is important to do a study in this particular subject. The paper is organised in three sections; following the introduction, second section gives the trend of import and export scenario in after 1990-1991 and third section gives the major trade items between these two countries.
