Abstract

Despite having so much water, there is a famine of potable water. This water is not suitable for human flora and fauna. Only 1.3% of the water on the earth is clean, currently 75. 8 crore people, which is 5% of the 1.5 billion population, survive without water. According to a report in London, Rajasthan is a water-deficient state. 10% of the country has arable land which has 5% of the population and two-thirds of it is rain- based water.
