Information and Communication Technology and Natural Environment: Close Relationship and their Global Significance

Abstract

            The present world is of Digitalization, which directly and indirectly is affecting the economic and social sectors. The Information and Communication Technology and the natural atmosphere have close association with each other. In the contemporary times of technology, everything seems to be unthinkable and unimaginable without their utility as it changed the life of people and improved the economic potentiality of several states. The present research article laid stress on understanding and exploring the major role played by technology in economy development, trade and industry. More specifically how it has affected environment has been discussed. Efforts are made to show how ICT is causing some environmental issues and at the same time provides with important opportunities and possibilities through which these issues can be resolved. There are some ICT based applications through which one of the significant objectives of most of the states i.e. sustainable development is achieved and in this paper, these tools are analyzed deeply. In the end, an important contribution made by ICT in national disaster management has been presented.
