Training Effectiveness of Skill Development Programs A Study in Rinl (Vizag Steel Plant)

Abstract

Training programs are taking place in all the organizations as it has got its significance as one of the important subsystems of HRD. Though evaluation of training and its results are helpful to the management as well as employees, the process of evaluation is not implemented effectively by practicing any systematic approach like some of the models available to evaluate training effectiveness. The present study is attempting to evaluate skill development training programs in the RINL (Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited) Vizag Steel Plant by using Kirkpatricks (KM) evaluation model as if it has not been done comprehensively so far.  The objective of the study is to look into the influence of the independent and dependent variables as per the adopted evaluation model (KM). Data analyzed using Multiple Regression in SPSS.
