Study of Road Accidents in India

Abstract

Today Indias economy sector and population is growing day by day. Indias population escalationover1.3 billion figure. To facilitate this huge population Indias transportation facility also growing day by day. But rapidly increasing in transportation also increases the problem of Road accidents and road hazard in India. According to the data of Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (MORTH) and World Health Organization,total no of death observed in the form of road accidents in India increasing at the rate of 11%  per annum and itholds first position among 199 countries in the world and followed by China and USA. Government of India proposed an amendment in Motor Vehicle bill in 2019 and that bill becomes a MotorVehicle Amendment Act 2019 today which mainly focus on to lay down the accident graph in India.
