Bad Effects of Semester Pattern System on Students of Rural Areas: A Study

Abstract

This research paper is based on the personal observations of the researcher. Having twelve years experience of teaching in tribal, rural and naxal affected area, the researcher has closely witnessed annual and semester pattern education system. Therefore, on the basis of this experience, he has explained the bad effects of semester pattern education system on the students of rural areas in this research paper. As students development is a multidimensional terminology, the researcher has tried to highlight how semester pattern system has made certain restrictions on students development. Moreover, how the teaching-learning process has been adversely affected by this pattern is also highlighted in this research paper.
