Education is the tool by which anyone can fulfill their aim. Education means modification in behaviour and the harmonious development of the individuals. It begins at the time of childbirth until death. In India there is a law for child education under article 21(A), that every child has the right to free and compulsory education from age 6 to 14 years. But every year in India approximately 2-4 % of students left their education and each of them had their exceptional reasons for leaving the school, the main thing was that the actual percentage of dropouts much differs than the factual percentage. This national crisis has been an educational nightmare from the past few decades. In this study, the researchers tried to find out the different factors or reasons which were responsible for the students drop out from the school before or at the elementary level and suggested preventing methods to keep students from quitting and decreasing the dropout rates as well as creating more supportive learning environments for everyone. For this study, qualitative research methodology was used and data was collected from the dropouts students and from their parents through the interview method, it seeks to discover what the common threats were for dropout students. This study may also assist educators in understanding what truly motivates and engages students in the classroom.
