Transportation Problem to Find Optimal Solution

Abstract

Various methods of Transportation problem have been compared to find an optimal solution. The Simplex method is not suitable for solving Transportation problem.  The Zero Suffix method gives the direct optimal solution and the NMD method gives the direct optimal or nearest to optimal solution. In this study the best optimality condition is checked with the numerical examples.
