A study of parenting style of parents of students of standard 8 in the context of different variables

Abstract

            In present study, the researcher had studied the parenting style of parents of students of standard 8. The researcher had conducted this study on a sample of 200 parents of students of standard 8. The researcher had chosen two different schools from Ahmedabad district. One school was chosen from urban area and another school was chosen from rural area. It was revealed that parents from urban area are having more authoritarian parenting style than that of rural area and parents of girls are having more authoritarian parenting style than that of parents of boys.
