Both government and private organizations are working in this area to enhance English language skills among the students. So it has become essential to use modern methods and tools of ICT (Information  and Communication  Technology) to develop better understanding of language skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing). Blogs, digital libraries, audio-visual aids, smartphones and tablets etc. are some of the widely used ICT resources to make learning interesting and more effective. These facilities are providing opportunity for individualized learning and providing freedom of learning anywhere and anytime.

The teacher is instrumental in making classroom learning interactive. Therefore, it becomes pertinent to know whether teachers themselves have awareness about these modern approaches of learning. The present study aimed to study awareness of ICT tools among English language teachers.A self-constructed structured questionnaire was administered to thirty fivepre-service teachers. It was found that majority of the pre service English language teachers are not aware of how to integrate ICT tools in English language teaching. It was found out that the English language teachers should be encouraged to attend seminars, workshops and conferences on the benefits of ICT in classroom learning, curriculum development and enhancement of language skills through Information and Communication Technology.
