Entrepreneurial Competencies of Returned Migrant Entrepreneurs, Evidence From Kerala

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to identify the key entrepreneurial competencies possessed by the return gulf migrants in malappuram district. An entrepreneurial competency contains ten competencies as developed by the management systems international in partnership with McBer & Company. Primary data were collected from 125 returned migrant entrepreneurs in Malabar region of kerala and data were analysed by using Kruskal Wallis Test and Mean Score analysis. Major result of this study is that returned migrant entrepreneurs are very competent. Hence this study recommends for government and other various authorities to focus the developments of these competent entrepreneurs and give various programs to create awareness about how to use these competencies in efficient manner.
