DIGITAL INDIA: A GATEWAY FOR DIGITAL ECONOMY

Abstract

                    Digital India is a gateway to major government services, trade, etc., through Internet.  Digital India campaign has been launched with a vision to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. This initiative includes plans to correct rural areas with stable Digital infrastructure, universal Digital Literacy etc.  ICT would make availability at time and reliable information on various aspects of governance.Many countries have changed digitally to provide governance, initiatives and information, communication technology applications for the people to further enhance public sector efficiencies and streamline governance systems to support sustainable development.  Digital Governance improves efficiency, cost reduction and savings, time saving, better communication facilitation between governments with businesses and citizens, online access of services, transparency and less bureaucracy and e-participation.
