Simulation of Fuzzy Logic Control based MPPT Technique for Photovoltaic System
Abstract
Maximum power point techniques (MPPT) are employed in photovoltaic systems to make full utilization of PV array output power. The output power of PV arrays is always changing with weather conditions i.e, solar irradiation and atmospheric temperature. In this paper, a fuzzy Logic control (FLC) based MPPT technique is proposed to improve the efficiency of a standalone solar energy system. Using a fuzzy logic controller is an intelligent way of tracking the maximum power point (MPP). The performance of the proposed method has been simulated in Matlab/Simulink at different solar irradiation and temperature.
