Abstract

The quality of ground water is of vital concern to mankind ,as it has direct link with human health & surrounding environment .  A detailed study on ground water quality was conducted by collecting ground water samples from different 21 locations of Dausa district. Total 19 parameters were determined. In many locations maximum parameters found within permissible limit. 76.19% samples lies between desirable & permissible limit in respect to TDS,66.66%samples showed TH in safe limit, the value of nitrate in 99.9% samples were observed in permissible limit, the value of fluoride in 57.14% samples  were found in permissible limit.57.08water samples fall under medium to high salinity category. On the basis of SAR values 9985% samples fall under excellent to fair class of water quality for irrigation .66.66%samples fall in good to medium class of water quality for irrigation with respect to RSC. These can be used for rapid monitoring of water quality parameters.
