Effectiveness of “Brain2ACT” Movement based Intervention to enhance attention in students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Abstract

Children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have behavioral, cognitive, affective and social impairments that are distinct from the core symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. Brain2ACT Movement based Intervention using multiple approaches namely Motor Perception, Sensory Integration Therapy, Kinesiology and neurobehavioral performance and a motor intervention program showed significant improvements in balance, fine motor skills, body image and temporal organization in children with ADHD. In this present study, the investigator selected 70 students from Government schools who have attention problems activities of children with ADHD in Villupuram district. A recent study found that thirty minutes of exercise before school can help students with ADHD focus and manage moods. It is suggested that Brain2ACT program should be designed as the subject in Teacher training curriculum so that they will learn the exercises and practice in the classroom set up. The following article will describe attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in-depth and will show how each of the principles of Brain2Act intervention specifically addresses the characteristics associated with ADHD.
