Abstract

The rapid response codes (Quick Response Codes) are a two-dimensional symbology, focused with the aim of a high-speed reading and encoding capacity compared to traditional barcodes. They have taken control of the market due to factors such as small size, readability from any direction, resistance to dirt and damage, high capacity, kanji and kana encoding capacity. To increase the coding capacity, three rapid response codes were developed using ZXing (open source library) and MATLAB. The resulting codes were processed by an algorithm in which geometric properties were used as area, centroid, bounding box to identify and change the color of the "Finder patterns" as well as the background for each code with different colors in MATLAB, which increases the dimension to three. The outcomes demonstrate that the calculation gives only a considerable security five rounds of encryption. The proposed work demonstrates the implementation of symmetric key lightweight algorithm for secured data transmission of QR image encryption system. Proposed research have demonstrated faster computation, less complexity and higher PSNR as compared to existing algorithms. In the proposed work we have implemented symmetric key cryptography for various format of QR images.
