CITIZENSHIP AMENDMENT ACT 2019: ISSUES AND CHALLENGES

Abstract

The number of refugees has been increasing steadily after India's independence for quite some time now. In Assam also, the issue of NRC on refugees has been discussed for quite some time as to why Bangladesh sits around India like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc., without any document entering India, the number of refugees is continuously increasing. As it is increasing, the NRC was constantly demanding the Act and the NRC Act was brought to meet all the demands so that all the demands could be brought to meet. In the request of NRC to identify the losing people, a letter has been written that the provisions, importance, and sections of the CAA have been studied in detail.
