Abstract

John Osborne, a famous English playwright, screenwriter and actor is well known for his prose and intense critical sense towards established social and political systems. The success of his play Look Back in Anger was a turning point and history making in English theatre. The play is the picture of the failure and frustration of a young man whose married life adds to his troubles and dejection. Osborne very artistically uses the game of Bear and Squirrel to release and reconcile the marred married life of the hero Jimmy and his wife Alison.
