Internet Addiction in India’s Education

Abstract

Education is not the amount of information that is put into your brain and runs riot there, undigested all your life.  We must have life-building, man-making, character-making, assimilation of ideas.  If you have assimilated five ideas and made them your life and character, you have more education than any human beings who has got by heart a whole library.  The end of all education, all training, would be human-making.  It is undeniable fact that electronic gadgets and Internet are today the most used and trusted benefits of technology.  They bring huge advantage by offering immediate access to information, new methods of learning an easy communication.  However, when handled by an untrained minds these technological advances open up the possibility of abusing our potentials.  They can also weaken the mind.  One of the most misused technological marvels of the modern science and technology is the Internet.  To resolve the problem from further affecting and spoiling our young generation of student community, the good hearted people should come forward with the ideas that can promote resilience, positive emotions, engagement, meaningfulness in the minds of the students.  This article looks into the ways and approaches to bring about this change in our education system.
