Impact of Financial Literacy of Woman on Economic Development: A Study of Solan, Himachal Pradesh

Abstract

On the globe, there are 50% women and the same phenomenon stands true even for India. The growth and economic development of the area are very closely related to the financial literacy of the people living over there. In the current scenario, it is very important that both the genders are equally literate on the fronts of education as well as finance. There are examples in India itself where the women have started the SHG's and today they are helping thousands of other women. Keeping these lines as viewpoint the researcher has conducted a study on the financial literacy of women in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. This present study is based on primary data and 150 women are taken as the sample and all the relevant dimensions are being evaluated. Statistical analysis is done by SPSS ver. 23.0. and presented in the graphical and tabular form.
