Consumers Attitude towards Nostalgic Food and Restaurants

Abstract

The food producing industry is one of the rapidly growing sectors of the economy and the growth in nostalgic food restaurants indicates the recent trend. It is very much essential to understand the consumers attitude towards such nostalgic food restaurants in order to withstand its business. Thus the purpose of the study is to find out the most preferred factors leading to preference for nostalgic food restaurants and also to analyze if there is any relation between socio-economic factors and preference for nostalgic food restaurants. The study is conducted on 60 samples collected through questionnaire adopting the method of random route sampling through google forms. The analysis was carried on using One Sample Sign Test, Mann Whitney U Test, Kruskal Wallis H Test and Friedman Test and the results obtained revealed that preference for taste and trusted quality are the most important factors leading to the choice for nostalgic food restaurants.
