Berar in ‘Lilacharitra’

Abstract

The Mahanubhao sect was establashid in Maharashtra. It was antivedic sect in nature. The meaning of the word Mahanubhao is having experienced or having too much knowledge.The Mahanubhavians denied the Ved but they agreed with Gita and the Bhagvatgranth. The follower of this sects should be nonviolent. The Sinddhant Sutra tells about the rules for the followers of the sect. The most important book of the sect is Lilacharitra.This book have contained with the various incidents which gone through at various places. The paper is studing the places which was found in that lilas and which was from Berar.
