Effect of sample form on evaluation of in-vitro bioactivity: A short review

Abstract

Bioactive glasses are centre of attraction for research these days due to their suitable properties
for various biomedical applications. A large number of research articles are published on various
properties of glasses. In this article, the in-vitro bioactivity of the glasses is discussed with
special attention to the form of the samples during evaluation. A part of available literature on
the mentioned topic is reviewed and conclusions are drawn to facilitate new researchers working
in related areas.
